Youth and Family Ministry
Hopeful has a vibrant and growing youth group. The middle school youth participate in monthly service events that include serving at Henry Hosea House, stocking shelves at United Ministries and Christmas caroling at a local nursing home. The high school youth meet weekly for bible study and fellowship. The Hopeful youth clown troupe spread God's word in a fun and innovative way using music and props.
Hopeful has an active and fun family ministry. Events throughout the year include Trunk or Treat, breakfast with Santa, snow tubing and an Easter egg hunt. Every summer we host Vacation Bible School for pre-k through 5th grade. There are also service projects that include Angel Tree and Operation Christmas Child.
Hopeful youth and families participate in bi-annual days of service called Make a Difference Day. Activities included in this event are sprucing up the church, stocking shelves at United Ministries, packing clothes at Master Provisions and serving food at Ronald McDonald House. Sunday school is offered for ages pre-k through 12th grade.
Adults at Hopeful have many opportunities for Bible study and fellowship. There is adult Sunday school as well as several Bible study groups. The mom's group hosts several social and service events during the year.
The prayer shawl group provides shawls for the newly baptized and the ill. The Hopeful Quilters make quilts for Lutheran World Relief to be distributed around the world for those in need.
The Hopeful Handys group does maintenance projects around the church to keep it in tip top shape.
Hopeful has many social gatherings during the year that include Thanksgiving Dinner, progressive dinners and a St. Patrick's Day party.
